It is a mystery to me why I have so many shades of yellow in my yarn stash. Can colour sneak up to you? I do not plan to knit anything using yellow yarn in the near future, but for winding an autumnal colour palette it comes in handy.
Last saturday I took a walk in the Vienna woods in the hope of boosting my creativity, which is rather low at the moment. It had rained in the morning, but later the sun came out and turned the leaves into a sea of gold. I liked the contrast of vibrant yellows and subdued browns on grey tarmac. Mushrooms are past their prime by now, so I delved into my archive to come up with a few pictures to complement the abundancy of leaves.

Es ist mir wirklich ein Rätsel, warum in meinem Garnvorrat so viele Gelbtöne zu finden sind. Kann sich eine Farbe heimlich anschleichen? Wie auch immer, ich habe nicht vor in nächster Zeit irgendetwas in Gelb zu stricken. Aber für das Wickeln einer herbstlichen Farbpalette ist der Hort natürlich ideal.
In der Hoffnung meiner erlahmten Kreativität wieder etwas Schwung zu verleihen, unternahm ich letzten Samstag einen Spaziergang im Wienerwald. Es hatte am frühen Vormittag geregnet, aber dann ließ sich die Sonne doch blicken und verwandelte das herbstliche Laub in ein goldenes Meer. Der Kontrast der leuchtenden Gelb- und der stumpfen Brauntöne auf grauem Asphalt gefiel mir. Die im Wald zu findenden Pilze sind mittlerweile nicht mehr sehr ansehnlich, also habe ich einige Bilder als Ergänzung der Fotos von Laub aus meinem Archiv gefischt.
